INTAKE

An observational, action-packed and inspirational documentary series that follows  a troop of young recruits through basic training as they attempt to become soldiers in the NZ Army.

These newbies have just sixteen weeks to go from civilian to soldier. The series follows recruits as they struggle to acclimatise to military life and work to keep up with the rigors of basic training. For many this is their chance to escape from challenging home lives and change their lives for the better.

Not everyone is going to make it.

INTAKE offers an unprecedented insight into the ups and downs, tears and laughter of young men and women, as they struggle through the biggest challenge of their lives, hoping to find out they have what it takes to succeed in the NZ Army.
