Diva Productions was founded in 1992 by Arani Cuthbert, as an artist management company for New Zealand’s well-loved entertainers, Dames Lynda and Jools Topp, the Topp Twins, who Diva continues to represent.

The company rapidly evolved into a diverse entertainment business that uniquely straddled screen and stage. As well as producing the Topp Twins’ award-winning primetime TV shows, Diva also booked and promoted sell-out theatre shows and festival appearances in NZ, Australia, the UK and North America, plus live concerts and comedy shows for a range of top-calibre artists over 30 years.

About us

In 2009, Diva developed and produced the Topp Twins’ internationally acclaimed, local box office hit feature documentary the Topp Twins, Untouchable Girls, one of NZ’s top-grossing domestic films of all times. The film won Best Feature Film at the 2009 NZ Film & TV Awards, the Audience Award at the Toronto International Film Festival, and screened around the world, scooping up more than 20 other festival awards.

We tell diverse stories that inspire, entertain and have something important to say. Exceptional talent is at the heart of what we do and we are passionate about bringing New Zealand stories to the world.

Award-winning commercials and TV director Felicity Morgan-Rhind has joined Diva for long-form screen content. Together, in 2025 they have launched a brand-content creation company LoveStory.

Recent work includes factual, lifestyle and arts series, for TVNZ, Sky TV, RNZ and Stuff.  Diva’s titles have sold around the wold by TVF, Flame Media (now Abacus), and Gravitas.

Diva’s development slate includes documentary, animation and drama.
