Established in 1992 as an artist management company for New Zealand’s well-loved entertainers, the Topp Twins. Diva has since expanded into a diverse entertainment company presenting live stage shows, booking talent Diva the Agency and making award-winning film and television shows.
Diva Productions produces, and helps sell, original character-driven content that entertains but also has something life-affirming to say.
The company has developed a slate of film and TV projects, including Hilda with assistance from the NZ Film Commission, and UK’s Spring Films (The Act of Killing, The Look of Silence) attached as a co-producer. A factual reality series with heart, Topp Country, is in production of its third series for TVNZ and a series of short films about Refugees has been made as part of a marketing campaign for the NZ Red Cross.
"We believe in the power of stories, music and laughter to inspire people and create change." Arani Cuthbert
Arani established Diva Productions in 1992 as an artist management company for the Topp Twins - New Zealand’s well-loved entertainers and national icons. The company has now developed into a boutique production company producing high quality original entertainment for stage and screen.
Michelle is a graduate of the South Seas Film and TV school, and has worked for Diva for 7 years. Michelle is Diva’s 'Production Manager', our behind the scenes super-hero who always stays calm no matter what. She enjoys sinking her teeth into some juicy research and a satisfying Call Sheet. She has also been known to liberate her inner westie chick.
Elizabeth (Lizie) is a graduate from the New Zealand Broadcasting School and hails from Fiji. She is interested in all aspects of the creative industry but her passion lies in TV/Film productions. She is so multi-talented we cannot let her go: as well as working on our recent TV show Topp Country as production co-ordinator and assistant camera, she looks after all our social media. She likes her whisky neat and cooks a mean curry.
